Lee Rickaway served as Administrative Pastor from 1997 to 2021. His responsibilities encompass directing the Sunday School –the Sunday morning small group organization; church discipleship, church-wide outreach, and church business administration. He previously served as Minister of Education at Colonial Hills Baptist in Cedar Hill, FBC Old Ocean, and FBC Brazoria. He also served with the International Mission Board in Argentina.

Lee is adept at organizing, building small groups, and designing outreach strategies. His philosophy for the Sunday School (SS) …”SS is the church, organized to do the work of the church”. He holds the M.Div. degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1986) and a Bachelors of Business Administration (Accounting) degree from Texas A & M University (1976). He worked several years as a cost engineer with a national construction firm before beginning his vocational career in the ministry.

After a brief period of enjoying retirement, pastor Lee has returned to our church staff and is currently serving as the Senior Adult Care Pastor.

He is married to Linnell (they met while serving on a summer college mission team at Mt. Rushmore). Linnell is from Montana, though now thoroughly Texan! Their son Paul lives in Duncanville. Personal interests of Lee include woodworking, walking, reading political intrigue novels, and travel.
