Lunch with the Pastor

The Lunch with the Pastor has a narrow focus -- of inviting prospects to seriously consider making a commitment for church membership or salvation.  These prospects are persons who regularly attend our worship services, are Sunday School enrollees, or ones who have expressed serious intentions of joining our church.

Philosophy

This is an opportunity for guests to become familiar with our church in a comfortable and non-threatening way.  They will meet the church staff and other members of Duncanville's First Baptist Church.  We are discovering that people who are receptive to listen to our beliefs are inclined to make decisions for Christ.

How It Works

Staff and some church members will serve as hosts to the invited guests.  After a short period of mingling and getting acquainted, all will be treated to a nice lunch and a brief presentation of our Church; our beliefs, practices and membership.  At the conclusion of the presentation, the guests will have the opportunity to ask questions and will be offered (in a no pressure way) the opportunity to officially join the Church, without having to “walk the aisle”.
